Kids Club Skills & Trial Intro

Ready to see what you and your dog can really do together? This next step in the Kids Club journey is all about leveling up your training and getting a taste of the exciting world of scent trials! We take the great teamwork you’ve already built and start applying it to the four official elements of scent work trialing in New Zealand.

Throughout this course, your team will learn how to navigate Containers, Interiors, Exteriors, and Vehicles. We’ll show you how to handle the different challenges each element brings—from searching around tires and bumpers to finding hidden scents tucked away in a room or out in the fresh air. It’s a fun, supportive way to introduce young handlers to the rules and "flow" of a real trial environment without any of the pressure.

As we further your team's skills, the focus remains on the bond at the end of the leash. Your child will learn more advanced handling techniques and how to support their dog through more technical searches. Whether you're aiming for your first ribbon or just want to keep the "detective games" growing, this course is designed to turn your young trainer into a confident, skilled handler ready for any challenge!
